What is this I see @2:32?
The Lucerne is on the "revised" G-platform. What are the odds the Lucerne strut tower brace will fit the Riviera? The Lucerne master cylinder looks shorter than I remember the Riviera's being, but I'll have to check to be sure. I can't help but notice that the strut tower brace dips down and goes in front of the master cylinder.
I haven't found the brace available anywhere yet, but they've got to be out there somewhere.
Hmm, I found a thread on a Cadillac forum where a DTS owner asked about a strut tower brace - Link
Another member recommended the Seville brace, which has the same issue on the DTS as on the 8th gen Riviera. Makes me think the G platform may not have been changed all that much for the Lucerne. Wikipedia says the DTS was on the G platform and not the revised G platform though . . .

The Riv's master cylinder is longer, so that would have to be changed too. Could it be? I don't see the booster for the master cylinder, that's strange.

by the shots in the video, the STB looks just like the bonneville gxp one (which I modified to fit my 99 riv), but more spiffy paint job

What did you do to the Bonneville strut bar? I'm getting sick of seeing the panel gap between the hood and the fender. I'm paranoid that it's going to cause a permanent bend in the hood.

I dug up the pics I don't remember for sure but I think maybe the 1998 riv might have the strut tower hump in the right spot for this.

Mine is a 97, looks the same. I can't believe the Bonneville/Lucerne STB fits that well. It doesn't look like you did anything to it. Does it touch the alternator?

I also have a '97. I believe the 1997 unfortunately has a different strut upper mount with different bolt pattern as the 97. I'd love to be proven wrong however.

Any idea where to get the Lucerne Super or Bonneville brace?

My understanding is that the '97 had a unique one-year-only suspension.
