| What next? I only have 2 mods a cai and a 2.5 pulley. after saving some money i was wandering what would be best for my cars perfomance, roller rockers or a street/ strip grind camshaft from seriesoneperfomance. | |

| You might be best off investing in a better flowing exhaust first. I don't know what's available for your Series I 3800, but the stock exhaust manifolds and downpipe are pretty restrictive on the Series II cars. Rockers would be an easier install than a cam. | |

well i already have some flowmaster exhausts on and i also had the resonator cutt off for more sound but im also willing to spend the money for the cam to be installed which i think will give me a better performance gain over the rockers?

| A cam will bring the ultimate performance gain throughout the band, at the expense of rough idle and the need for some tuning. Rockers give a decent upper RPM increase with almost no change to your engine's operation under 4k RPM. You'll keep your fuel economy with rockers, too.
Good idea replacing the DP like Dave suggested. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| Go with the cam! PLAY HARD OR GO HOME! If you want to spend the extra time (or money if your not doing it yourself) go with the cam. I thought about doing rockers too instead but a lot of people I read on 3800pro and clubgp and other forums who had rockers said they were going to get a cam soon anyway. I just skipped the middleman and went right for the cam. | |

| Cam makes sense, being that the Series I engine needs every bit of help you can give it! _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |
