The 5% discounts are nice, but it would be nice if parts didn't have to ship from separate locations sometimes, resulting in double frt charges. Ordered an air filter and cabin A/F for the Acadia, had to ship separately.

I compleatly agree. I try and order my items so they are clustered as shipping from the same location. *but* if it has to come from more than one location, thats a deal killer for me as a Canadian since that removes any advantage in cost of getting it from Rockauto in the first place. The have honestly probally lost easily 500$ in sales to me for that very reason.

Often they are way cheaper than auto parts in canada even paying shipping and border duty, but thats out as soon as it needs to come from multiple locations.

There'd still be shipping costs to the intermediary, then reshipping to Canada.

I've done that before, but shipping does add up. Had AA get me my Alumn valvecovers since they would not ship to canada. The covers were around 30$, but all shipping and everything I was in over 100$. One thing that I also know works well is if I know someone whos headed over the border and/or back. They can mail it on this side for a fraction of the price. (or just drop it off.)

Its still crazy that 8 out of 10 times its still half as expensive to order, import, and ship car parts from Rock Auto to Canada than buy them over the counter here. Especially now that they have a nice duty payment bundled into the shipping which is great as long as the shipping locations doesn't stack.

Cool. I'm going to northern michigan on vacation in July, if you need anything between now and then and can wait I'll be taking the shortcut from Niagra Falls to Detriot via the Queensway...

5% doesn't take mutch edge off of $9 shipping.

Shocks for my other car and friend's car.

5% saved me $10.50. Shipping was $3 after that.

Compared to the local Advance Auto, I saved $33.82 on my parts alone buying from RockAuto. My friend saved even more.
