ok my teacher owns a shop out side of school, and i was going to have him fix my car car, being that he loves rivs.i need a intake gasket, a Sc gasket and a TB gasket. the estimate was 488.08 cents. and it was just over 300 for labor, im think i will call my buddie and do this my self, F### that place im sorry but if you tell some one that you will do it labor free cost, then slap on a 300 buck charge that is BS. BTW i was told he would only charge me for parts. and no labor. what a crock. can i get you input could that be my problems/ the engine had a smell of antifreeze, the engine would start but eather die or rev very high then die.this is car is being a real PITA

Did you remind him of his "free labor" quote? Pretty low to try to slip in $300 at this point.

Those are all really easy. Except for the posiblity that the old TB (or was it intake?) gasket gets welded on to the intake and TB. PITA fo sho as you have to chizle it off w/ a screw driver and soak it with TB cleaner.
