i own a 96 Riviera SC series II
200k miles, without probs,
now its just around 2000 rpm around 75mph the car and even the gaspedal
are starting to shake like crazy, if i give more it stops
if i drive 100mph and go back down to 75mph it starts again
even if i go from 40mph to 75 around 75 again everything shakes
any ideas???

It could be the transmission. When you are cruising at 75 mph, the torque converter clutch locks up as your car goes into overdrive. Sometimes the transmission will develop a shaking or vibration.

Does it ever happen when you let off the gas pedal? Next time it happens, try hitting the brake pedal just a little, then gas. Anything change?

Well, because it solved my problem, how are the tires? I had mine rebalanced and it helped, then I got new ones and the car is smooth as silk and boy, I love it!

its either the tranny like Aaron mentioned or the front tires. have you put any fix-a-flat in recently? try rotating and balaning them to see if it fixes the problem or if the vibration moves from the steering wheel/peddles to the seat.

That used to happen to me around 50 mph, but it went away after i changed my plugs.
