Looks good on the ground, How does it sound?
You said u used magnaflow mufflers. did you re-use the stock tail pipes, if so how did you fit them. i thought they were 1 3/4" diameter. Can't tell by the picture.

"Headers can offer you even more performance than a just installing a muffler because headers provide air to your engine smoothly and evenly which can boost performance and horsepower."

That's funny! I left a comment about how funny it was, but I don't think the moderator will approve it.

i am putting together what i call a stage 1 package for the riv, i got a 3.4 pulley, 104's, 180 t-stat. now i don't want to spend a pile of money on this car in mods, just a few. thinkin on either getting a cheap set of used headers maybe, or just do a 3" downpipe. i looked at zzp and they got dp's for w-body and h-body, i know neither will directly fit without some modding, which one do you think would require the least amount of modding to get it to fit.?

www.ssautochrome.com
Look for Product # Pontiac, Grand Prix, Regal.
If I remember correctly.
There is a Write up on here, called "cheap headers" or something like that.

Here it is: https://rivperformance.editboard.com/series-ii-engine-transmission-f4/cheap-headers-pace-setter-autochrome-etc-t510.htm?highlight=cheap+headers

I have a set on my car and they were worth every penny. Only $300.00 plus $50.00 for shipping.
They have Steel mounting flanges, but everything else is stainless steel.
Some of the earlier reports on these weren't to good, but the product has gotten better and fit very well.

The kit I bought was for a Grand Prix. For the price of the manifolds, bout $100 bucks more and you get the headers. They were $349.01 shipped. I also was considering ported manifolds or P-logs, but opted to spend the extra for headers, and I'm glad I did.

Ported manifolds are a good idea if you want to pick up a little extra mid/top-end power and keep the quiet, luxury car feel. It's an easy, inexpensive route, and can be combined with a 3" downpipe for even better gains.

Headers will not cause you to lose horsepower, but it can cause you to loose a little bottom end torque. Headers help to shift torque from low-end to mid/top end, which is not really a bad thing considering we already have a lot of low RPM torque to begin with. However, if you swap the SC pulley to a smaller one, you will gain back the low-end torque and keep the mid/upper band HP gain. For this reason, it is usually not wise to only add headers - it makes more sense if you are doing other things to the car to increase power. And of course, headers are noisier than OEM or ported manifolds, so that may impact your decision.
