Water damage to Rubber B-Pillar Empty
PostSubject: Water damage to Rubber B-Pillar   Water damage to Rubber B-Pillar EmptySun Feb 24, 2008 11:51 am

Since I bought this car, about 3 years ago, I've been wondering about something. I've noticed an ugly area in the passenger quarter window area. You know where there's the rubber weatherstrip-like stuff on the inside back in the quarter window area that shows on the outside? That's what I'm talking about. Here's a few pictures of the area I'm referring to.

I only mention this because I'll be getting it tinted in a few weeks, and I don't want this area to stick out and make the window look really bad. Does anyone know what exactly this is, and has anyone else had this problem with their vehicle? Let me know

agree UNFORTUNATELY!
Actually that rubber piece comes out pretty easily, and goes back in the same way. Before I realized that I used something like a tongue depressor with a paper towel on it and slid it between the glass and the rubber piece to clean it.

How do I remove/replace the rubber piece, any tips might help prevent me from ruining it.study
Thanks

My mistake! headshot
Actually the side panels DO have to come out before you can remove the rubber piece, but with the side piece out they do come off very easily. Might be a better idea to just slide something behind it?

Well, I tried different methods with a paper towl to try to get the shit out from under the window. I made a bit of a difference, but not highly noticeable.

How does the side piece come off? That'd probably make my life 10x easier.
