| Well I went and bought the rims this weekend. I just put them on to make sure everything fit and didn't rub... What yall think? | |

| Yeah, it does look like a spaceship. That's what I like about Riv's. People always tell me how futuristic it looks or whatever.
But those rims are tight man. I'm gettin 20s in winter, but those 22s are hot. Lookin good.

| The Riviera's body looks like a concept vehicle that made it into production.
That, combined with these rims, has me awaiting it's takeoff!

| Yeah actually thats what they advertised the riv as , a concept car in your driveway. The first time i drove it i thought wow , this thing is like a spaceship. Powerful and smooth acceleration ,unusual whining noise and a streamlined cockpit and interior.
But yeah i wouldve gone 20s , but those are still mad thug'n.

| ....Why so big? Biggest I'd think the Riv should have is maybe 18s. Does it feel every bump in the road? Make sure you recalibrate your speedometer and get some oversized rotors - I see so many people who put big rims on a car and never do either which is just stupid. | |

Ever since I was 16 I have had 20"s on my car. I wish I had pictures of all the cars I owned. I problly had about 10 different sets of 20's. I think it was just time to move up. A friend of mine has a Riviera that on 22" Five Star rims that give his car a more sporty look. I will get some pics of his car when the weather get nice Personnel Preference I Guess.

I do feel more bumps in the road as you will with any low profile tires. I just took the rims off tonight so I can put some drilled/slotted rotors and new brake pads on. I have enough speeding tickets so for me its more about looks than speed.

| I sure hope if you're putting those huge rims on those cars you're not looking for performance. One kid tried to tell me that his Eclipse would go faster with bigger rims. I 'd at him, brilliant thought concept to put big rims on a car that weigh more which will make the car go faster! Riiight... | |

| For straight line acceleration, larger wheels may not help, but for handling, sometimes a bigger diameter = lower profile tires = firmer ride, better road holding.
Bigger doesn't always mean heavier. Sometimes a bigger quality wheel can be lighter than the OEM = less unsprung mass.
If you modify engine & suspension performance to offset the need for extra torque, you might get equal acceleration with a bigger rim. Bigger overall diameter tires can also help reduce traction problems off the line. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^
