| Been looking at 18" black Menzari Inferno's -
Link
A grand or less with tires, but I dunno about those brands. What do you think, are they the cheapest thing Victoria Tire could slap on there? Also, what about the widths? It's only $10 more per rim to go from a 7.5 to an 8.5. That sounds good, if it will fit, and 1 1/2-2" of extra width should be a noticeable improvement. They don't have a tire package for an 18 X 8.5" rim though.
More than likely I'll stay with a stock appearance for my driver but still it's fun to dream.

| Wow. Thats not too bad of a deal really. 17s with 235s for 800 bucks is pretty tempting. I still want Kazera KZ-Vs... theyre 169 a piece from tirerack. | |

| They look good Jack. If you plan on sticking with tires in the 235 range, I'd stick with the 7.5" just because they are lighter. If you want to go with a fatter tire, say 255, go with the 8.5. | |

| Agreed, don't run a wider rim than you need for your tire size. | |

| The price isn't bad at all. I don't know about those tire brands though. I wouldn't want to buy a nice rim wrapped in a shit tire. It'd be nice to get the free shipping and have them come mounted and ready to go.
Jason - you're right, I wasn't thinking about the weight issue. The Riv's not going to be an ultimate performance car so it's not really worth sacrificing ride quality.

| Hey, how are rims measured? I measured the stock rims today and got 17" from lip to lip, although it is considered a 16" rim. Does that mean, if I get an 18" rim, it will be 19" at the lips? Maybe more, maybe less, depending on the rim?
I want at least an inch bigger, on each side, than my stock rims. I"m going to be disappointed if it's less.

| Well, increasing rim size by an inch will basically increase your rim by about 1/2 an inch I'd say. To see a full inch you probably need to go up two inches from the factory size. Then again don't trust me entirely on this, math/geometry is not my strong suit... | |

| I believe it's measured from down at the rim surface where the tire bead is seated. | |

| Makes since, it says 16" on the tire.
I guess a half inch lip is a normal size?
