| Why do you want to delete the chrome?
I think you would have the get the chrome pieces painted. Or something molded into the spot where the chrome is.
Unless you want all those ugly clips sticking out.

| It would help blur the visual lines between the tire and the wheel gap to the body. You have to use some type of primer used to paint chrome and then you can paint it to match the car. I think it would be best to carefully tape it off and paint it on the car. Those chrome strips bend very easily. | |

| I would take them off and clean them good if you decide to paint them. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| i think someone did that once... was it rivman? he had a black riv with black rims and he also blacked out all the chrome on the car.
but IMO i like the chrome  _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | ok my idea for exterior looks is that black out everything lights tinted windows black rims then paint it a really dark almost black metalic purple leave only the front chrome oval and riv "R" and the r on the back crome and find some nice gnx style vents (functional vents not the stick ons) also some nice hood vents (also functional) and a molded wing one that flows with the shape of the car not some stupid 10 foot talk carbon fiber shit and mabey a blue neon underbody n wheel well kit (i honestly think its neat as hell) of course this is no where close to the top of my prioritys list but just runin it by you guys see what you think

| There's a guy here who's got/had a nasty blacked out Riv. He had it for sale a while back.
Neon is pukey.
It would take Chip Foose to design hood vents and a wing that would look good on this car.

| IMO i dont think u will find vents of a good wing that will flow with the lines of the riv, you best but would be to not get them or to have custom work done but i do like your blacked idea, thats what i was going to do just not blacked out headlights | |

| black out would be cool. Like the wildcat riviera concept: black chrome trim, tinted windows.
but I would not bother with port holes, and especially not neons. Riviera's historically had no port holes.
