changing the engine Empty
PostSubject: changing the engine   changing the engine EmptyThu May 01, 2008 8:19 pm

i have an opportunity to buy a 3800 engine from a buick with only 50000 miles for like 450 bucks. i was wondering if i could drop it in my 95 supercharged( which has blown) and if it would work with my current computer without the new engine being supercharged and also if i could bolt on a supercharger onto the new engine and have it work just like a series i supercharged. kind of strange questions but any input is appreciated. thanks

what is the newer engine from a 95 rivi NA. if its NA then its a L36. which means its a Series 2 3800 and it has no charger. if you want you can have my S1 block. its not in bad shape, now that we found out all my car needed was coils, and a MAF sensor. if you want its urs for 150 bucks. then you can swap ur heads and LIM and charger over to this engine

but if you want this new motor then, we need to know what year car is from and what model

its to bad ur not in Syracuse tomorrow you could have my motor and it would be ready to install by the weekend
