| have you cleaned the MAF? how old are the wires? what plugs did you use? what year riv are you working on? engine? (those should be in your signature!) does it only miss under load, or all the time? _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | have you had any SES lights pop up? sorry, but if it's not plugs, wires, or maf, 'm out of suggestions off hand. all i can say is get any codes read if they show up, and do any regular maint items to start ruling things out. (like fuel filter, pcv, air filter, oil change, etc to see if things improve any) _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | could also be a problem with one of your coil packs. try cleaning the plate underneath them. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | yea the check engine light is on i am going to have to pull the codes. we did the oil change and the air filter is new too. could it be because i am missing the wiring harness for the back knock sensor? | |

| You need a scan tool. Some local auto parts stores will read them for you at no charge. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| you will have to take it to a shop to scanned. i dont think part stores will have an obd 1 scan tool to scan your 95. where are you located it? if your close to Stl, mo then i'll scan it for you. | |

| Some parts stores can scan 95's. But it's not as common as OBD2 vehicles.
One way to tell which cylinder is misfiring would be to remove one wire at a time and see which cylinder gives you no difference versus what you have now.
That's the old moldy way w/o a scan tool. Also ensure your wires aren't touching the O2 wiring. | |
