| Subject: Changing PCV valve Fri Mar 09, 2007 9:45 pm | |
| My roommate alerted me to a usually cheap and easy part to replace, but also an important part to replace, the PCV valve. He is going to change his out on his truck and said we should check mine. Mine was pretty dirty (just did top engine clean) and it smelled of exhaust/gas. Should I change it? And when I say dirty, it was dirty from a dark liquid, not dry, is that normal? Anyone know part # by any chance? Thanks! | |

| As long as the valve is not frozen with sludge or grit, it should still work all right. It just needs to be able to move to open/close. If you're concerned, should be an inexpensive part, and very easy to replace.
