PostSubject: Audio NEW SYSTEM   Audio NEW SYSTEM EmptyWed Jul 23, 2008 6:31 pm

I am wanting to go buy a system for my car. I am not going to install it myself.(this time) My riviera is completely stock. Is there anything I should be concerned about with having a shop install an audio system(amp sub speakers)?

you might want to get a amp for the back 6 by 9's if you are using the stock head uint. i just put new jvc speakers in mine it sounds good but you can turn it all the way up cause it sounds like crap.

the front ones 5-1/4 round and the rear are 6 by 9. if you have not mess with a lot of head units just take it to cause the wires are a little tricky in our car.

Ok! Thanks! I will see how much all the stuff will be hopefully it wont be too expensive. I have a sub(cheap pioneer Walmart) and a Box I built out of MDF. I had it in my honda with 300 watts going to it. It sounded good.

you dont need a new headunit for good sound, if you properly amplify your speakers with external amps. But I would always recommend an upgraded head unit if its in your budget.

a new head unit with new speakers running only off the headunit will not sound as good as a stock head unit with amplified speakers.
