| Just recently I purchased two used but in new condition goodyer integrity tires off craigslist for my Riv. I had them mounted on the rims and put them on the car. I go out later to leave and there was a huge bulge in the side of the tire. I called the fucking prick that I bought the tires from and asked him why the hell he sold me two bad tires and he said uh there were like new. Then I asked him where he got them and he would not tell me. BTW, I find out the he works at a dealership. The car that they came off of must have been in an accident. So this past Friday I was driving with the other tire on the front of the car and I feel this terrible vibration and yep you guessed it the other tire went bad with a bulge out the side. This asshole could have killed me and my two kids. He did send me half my money back but I will be paying him a visit at the dealer to make and ASS out of him and get my other half of the money he owes me. The fucker has know idea how pissed I am and I am not letting him get by with this. He has cost me more money and headache over this. I could have just went and bought two new tires and been further ahead when you add the cost of dimounting, mounting, and balancing them. | |

| Yeah, I learned a long time ago that tires should only come from a tire dealership. I used to get $20 tires from some hill-jack mom n' pop shop that supposedly sold blemished tires that were "good as new". After the tread started peeling off the bottoms, I had learned a lesson.
Now I buy from Firestone. I pay a bit more, and I still don't know they're going to be made yesterday, but since the FireHawk Wide Ovals are not a bread & butter tire, it makes sense that they only make enough for the performance enthusiasts. I have a feeling they're fresh, but I will be checking mine soon enough.
This makes me glad I use only Z (W) rated tires. I don't go 168 mph, but high speed tires are built a lot stronger, and imo should hold up better over time. I'm on my 3rd set of WOs with no problems. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I agree with buying Quality tires. They feel better from the beginning and ride well until replaced. | |

| I had the tread blow off a rear tire in a thunderbird I was driving several years ago. It went from a good Sunday drive to a knuckle whitening ride. It was like I was on black ice.
I am in need of tires now and because I use an off size, I need to check to make sure they haven't been sitting on a shelf for years.

| Riv's tires show 113306 at the end of the DOT string. Should mean 33rd week of 2006. I put 'em on in 07. | |
