Glad to have you. I have had several ROA members show interest this year, maybe I'll have a better turn out than I have the past couple of times?!? If you want to do a MapQuest search the address is: 214 Park Dr Archdale, NC 27263The weather is supposed to be Sunny and 76*, so it should be a perfect day!

| Just curious, does the ROA have a Kentucky region? | |

Not at this time. What the ROA does is find a member in good standing that is interested in trying to do some kind of a Riviera specific get together or outing of some kind. Anything really to promote the Riviera, the ROA, and get members interested in getting them out!

| This might have been one of the biggest conversation pieces, of the older Rivs anyway. The Star Wars air cleaner that was stock on all 1967 Buick GS’s, the only year it was produced! | |

There are some of the same pictures on the ROA website, but I guess they are smaller than these. If you want them full size I can send them to you, would you like me to use the e-mail you have listed on the ROA roster or another one? Let me know and I'll get them to you. We might be having another ROA get together in May of next year, I have been in contact with Keith, the ROA Regional Coordinator from GA and we are looking at doing something in Savannah, possibly calling it a "ROA Southeastern Regional Meet"I'll get it posted as soon as we figure things out.

Only made them one year, all '67 GS's had them. They are pretty rare now, an original in decent condition can go for $400-$500. There is someplace out there making repro's out of aluminum that sell for $200.

| The '67 is the one second from the far right, correct? I was reading an "Automobile" magazine at the doctor's office last week and they had an article about a classic car auction they held. The top seller was a '65 Riviera GS. It sold for around $75,000. | |

Correct! ... A closer view:You are right about the '65GS, I copied this from another Forum I'm on: Quote: Did anyone see the auction results on page 130 in the December 2008 Automoblile magazine? A black on black 1965 Gran Sport sold at $72,600.00. Is anyone familiar with this car? Was it Elvis' car, or all we all rich now? I'd be fascinated to hear anything anyone knows... The reply he got was :Quote: OK Jeff: If you look up the Carpenter's web site you can preview Richard Carpenter's 65 GS (black on black). All of his cars are as perfect as one could imagine or so it seems. Website:http://www.richardandkarencarpenter.com/Auto-23%201965%20Buick%20Riviera.htm Quote: Because there is a decent supply of 65 Riviera Grand Sports available to buy in the under 15K range (for decent quality) it would stand to reason that a super build on one could be at the 25K price putting lots of hypothetical cars way under 72K and looking pretty slick. On the other hand, perhaps this buyer just inherited lots of dough and just wanted one because they saw it and it was available immediately. I think decent '65GS's are more in the 20K range but $72,600 IS quite a lot!
