I have a old timer customer who sent us a dead 1979 digital Instrument Cluster / Fuel and Speedometer (with cable drive input) to repair.

They really want this car to work but are not too savvy. And they dont have a good machanic for electrics. Is there a separate power supply for the cluster and where is it located. Approximate size and shape? I need to explain it so they can remove and send it to me.

Wiring info would help as well. (Our alldata files end at 1982) Even a block diagram, or battery and ignition feeds to which pins.

I apologize for posting 2 simiilar posts. But they are slight different headers so I think it warrants two posts.

You might check with some of the guys from the Riviera Owners Association.
http://www.rivowners.org/
If you go to the Regional Coordinator page there is contact information for them, Jayson from the DFW area and Ed from the KANSAS CITY area have several of the '79 to '85 Rivieras. If they can't answer your question they might be able to point you in the right direction. There are Technical Advisors that I'm sure could help you but membership in the ROA is required to get that information.
