| OK ... I have been battling my Riv for over a week. It started last sunday when the car started to misfire. So far I have replaced
Plug wires Coils ICM Fuel ressure regulator Fuel Pump Crank senor Cam sensor PCM MAF sensor
Car still runs terrible and misfires. Compression is 145 psi across all cylinder. LTFT are locked at +16.4. Checked all body grounds.
Any ideas?

| Do you know for sure the MAF sensor is working correctly and connected properly?
How old is the O2 sensor? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| Yes. I check for 5 volt refrence from the wire. And I also bought a new one to replace it just to be sure. and MaF readings are 3400-3700 at idle.
O2 is maybe 7k old. | |

| Did you check your tune to make sure that the fuel trims are not reset to stock? I could see with your mods the stock fuel trims not keeping up is a possibility.
Is it just idling rough and then dying? Will it run normally under throttle in higher RPM operation?

| If you accelerate slowly to 20% throttle it will smooth out. If you stab the throttle it fire on 2 cylinders . Its actuallty kinda funny if it wasn't so sad.
I reloaded my tune on thew old and new PCMs no change. I checked the setting both times, they were fine.

| Did you check to make sure the plug wires were on in the right order?
How much vacuum are you pulling at idle?

Good point. That high LTFT tells me something else is wrong. MAF Table or IFR table gone awry...

| I once had +16.4 LTFT. It was caused by a combination of a cracked vac line and a faulty AFC device ran inline with the MAF wiring. I think the AFC was causing most of the problem.
Might try disconnecting the MAF sensor and see if anything changes. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| I wish I was knowledgeable enough to help diagnose this. I did look around the Internet for other people who have had the same issue. Here is something I found on a Ford site. Maybe it will help:
"Truthfully there are many things that can be wrong. You need to narrow it down, because you are either loosing fuel supply, fuel injector pulse, or ignition spark. You need to make it act up, and check for spark. If you have spark, you know it is fuel. If you have no spark, you know it is ignition. If it is spark, you may have a faulty ignition module, pickup coil(stator), or ignition coil. If it is fuel, you may have a faulty fuel pump, PCM, PCM relay, fuel pump relay, or I have even seen a bad PCM ground at the battery cause this. The PCM ground wire is the small ground wire coming off of the battery ground. I hope this helps, but I can say that the most common problems with this car are: Number 1-fuel pump, Number 2- ignition module, coil, and stator, and Number 3- PCM ground wire."

| if your riv had, say, 150,000 miles or more then replacing the crank & cam sensors is a good bet.
Put it to you this way - if you're reading this, you have 150,000 or more miles (NOT Km) and you have not had to replace your crank sensor, let us know...

| hook up a scanner that can show a live datastream for the cam and crank sensor and see if they produce good signals | |

| maybe you need to put the old PCM back on, or get a used known good one.
I apologize for my crank / cam sensor post. Re-read the first one, says you replaced it already. THere is a chance it is bad new but if you bought a decent brand that's not likely.
