Hello from Finland

I am a new Riviera owner from Finland. My -95 Riviera SC is shipped from Texas to Finland last summer. Color is black with chrome wheels and 130000 miles. Runs like a new. I think that I can find many interesting stories from this forum.

Well im Estonish but been living in fin ower 1 year now and buyed a Riv to 3 weeks and mainly cruising whit it in FIn.
can't wait to see you'r riv's pictures or maybe even IRL.
so much as i know in fin are only 3 riv's registered?

that's a lot of money. Do you have to modify it to conform to light/safety requirements on top of that?

in fin....my famely owns 5 american cars.
in fin registrering a car what is outside of the contry is a pain in head.
it's the only contrey what still asent taken down the car tax in europe. if u buy from one europe contrey a car then u can register it in another european contrey whitout paying any taxes. thats what 1 point of urope was. but in finlad they somehow still have that tax rule what is very high. Cars cost there anyways very much.
like...that riv what i own...in est a 1996year riviera costs 4800-5800euro

it's crazy...
my dad buyed and Pontiac Bonneville SSEi 1994 from Germany and bued it in fins register. He bayed in germany for that car 1300euro and in fin had to bay 1700euro taxes for buting it in registery there. :S

then he buyed a Dodge Ram3500
it was year 1997....cars after 1996 need a full test for registering. papers for the emision gasses, brake test...dodge had better brakes then the european cars what waight same much....and in the law there sayd.....cant register that car cos it had BETTER brakes then the other same waight car in europe...but thank god they change that stupit rule...
then needed to change all lights on car. add 6 SIDEMARKERS, but front lights what had a EURO mark on it and real lights whit a euro mark.

So here i see many american cars what have lights changed and they look rediceles. Nissan skylines whit traktor lights on them, hummers whit rear and front lights rmoved and somekind circle lights buted there.

so i guess. u buyed the car from us like ~4000-5000euro bayed the 1000-2000 for shiping then need to bay for car tax what i think for that car may be 3000euro and hopefully its under 1996 so dosent need any lights changes.
then need insurence what whit 179kw may be liek 800euro a year? and car road tax liek 190euro a year and car test what was probely 200-300euro.

So have to think very carefully if there is any point

Is the front of the hood damaged?
If so, you need to hook up with Timo (Snowdog)
He and his father have a nice body shop where they can fix and paint for you.
