| Would these be any good? http://louisville.craigslist.org/pts/896909316.html
They don't look bad, however I'm thinking 20s are too big for any good performance. Aren't 18s the limit for big rims that still have some performance quality to them? So funny to imagine my Riv on big custom rims like that - I have priced rims waaaaay out of my price range but I could afford those.
Not sure how bad those scuffs and wear are but if they fit a Century they'd fit the Riv wouldn't they? I would have to get the speedo recalibrated and put bigger brakes on for rims that size wouldn't I?

| thats a bad deal... need new tires and he mentions the lips having wear.... id pass... BTW I have 18x9.5 on 275/35/18 tires on my Firebird.... performs better then the 16's on 245/50/16 tires..... they weigh the same or less too! its all in the quality of the rim and tire. you can get some nice 20's that weigh the same as stock chromy's and get some performance tires that grip nice. ooh ya, and I still get crooked | |

| Okay, well new question - what is our bolt pattern? I know it's somewhere on here but can someone please just tell me what it is? I want to know what specs I have to look for in a rim to know if any of them are ones I could use. | |

| My 20" handles much better than stock as far as cornering. They weigh about the same as stock too so I don't suffer in the acceleration either. The tires I have on them are about 1/2" taller than stock (for a little more cushion) but I'm was only off a little on speed (<5%) but you can recalibrate the 'puter to which ever size you have with a tuner.
Unless you put a heavier tire/wheel combo on, stock brakes work fine- same wiht the trans.

| I thought you had a set of 18" for the track or something like that? | |

| I was thinking about getting 17" or 18" for autocross because you can't get track tires in 20". Slicks for the drags usually get up to only 15"-16". I am running Nitto 555 tires right now on the 20" which are plenty sticky enough for the street. | |

| Our bolt pattern is 5x115 with a +40 offset IIRC. | |

| Ya thats a horrible deal, because the tires are not cheap and you can get a set of rims with brand new tires on sale for around $600-800 | |
