| Been lurking for a while. I am currently looking for a '97+ Riviera but not having much luck. I drove 1000 km last weekend only to find that the car I had phoned about the day before was sold before I could get there. I just posted in the HUD topic in Interiors so I thought I should post a quick intro. Been around cars forever, my last project was a 3800 N/A swap into a Fiero (second one still in progress) and before that a V8 swap into a S-10 and a frame swap on a '52 Chevy Burban. I also have a '78 Vette with a ragtop conversion. I've already learned a lot on this forum, looks like a great place. I hope to find my Riviera soon so I can start contributing! | |

| Welcome!
Sucks about the wasted trip! I would have been pissed! Finding one in nice shape can be tough. Good luck with your hunting!

| Thanks for the welcome guys. The '97 that was sold was apparently in incredible shape. The only other non-95 around here is 250 km away and was pretty rough when I looked at it. Pretty dirty an a long list of stuff that needed to be fixed.
RickW - If I ever find a Riv, I will certainly post some details. That, remote doors, bluetooth radio and an intercooler/pulley at at the top of my list!

| SToP, find my thread in the audio section titled 'help me choose a head unit' (or something like that). I still love the radio and the installation. | |

| Hi Karma, I have enjoyed some of your writeups on the forum here. Thanks for the warm welcome, neighbor! Deekster, that's the same unit I was interested in.. That or the Alpine with nav but I'm leaning toward the Pioneer. I have nav on my phone and I don't want to attract attention with the LCD screen. And the difference in price is equivalent to a short stack intercooler! I'm glad you pointed me to that thread, it answered a lot of questions I had about how well the Pioneer fit and how well the PAC worked. | |

| Welcome! And good luck with your search. I had to drive over 220 miles round trip ( and made the trip twice) to get my riv. Its a hard car to find at the right price and in the right shape , and sometimes just in general. Well worth the 4 month or so wait and the long drive. I've never been happier in any car. | |

| I drove 345 miles to Ohio to get mine two years ago. Fortunately I didn't waste a trip and bought the car. It was in need of a little work but over the last two years I have put lots of love and 46,000 miles on her and she still runs great. You'll never be happier than in a Riv! Welcome aboard. | |
