| I just purchased a dash trim kit for my Riv on ebay and due to a promotional offer through Microsoft I will be recieving $52+ back on item. http://stores.ebay.com/DashKit-Mall This is the best deal I have seen and I have looking for a while. It only took a few mins. to set up "Live" account. | |

| There doesn't appear to be any for anything other than a 1995. Are the 95-99 the same? Did you all buy every one available or am I doing something wrong. Opened the microsoft live account, went back to the wood dash site and shit for a 98 Riv. | |

| You guys need to read through my experience with installing the BD Trims dash kit before plunking your hard earned dollars down on one - Link(hmm you've got to look in the middle of the 2nd page for the write up now ) The short story is, save your $'s and get a better kit. | |

| No problem. Other users have had better results with other manufacturers. I think the look is awesome and well worth doing if you take the time to pull all the interior pieces and paint the edges that will be exposed (if this will work with your interior color). If I had to do it over again though I'd definitely go with a different manufacturer. | |

| Hey Jack, sorry to hear about your bad experience with BD. I hope my Installation goes better. I understand that money is not the only consideration when making a purchase, but in this case, for me it makes the differance between having a wood dash trim kit or not having one. I will make a post after my installation to let the forum know how my installation went. Snowdog recently did an install with what appears to be a nice result. https://rivperformance.editboard.com/welcome-f1/new-riv-owner-t4273-60.htm | |

| If you want some advice, when you get the dash kit from BD Trims go over every square inch of it with a fine eye looking for imperfections. They will replace pieces that they screwed up, even if it takes them a couple tries to get it right. It'll probably help if you're more polite with them than I was Getting good pieces can be an infuriatingly long and drawn out process though. It's time consuming but I would mask off the parts of your dash that will be covered by the dash kit and only paint the edges. I think the expansion and contraction of the dash kit pieces in the heat/cold could be enough to pull the paint off the dash. Be sure to clean your dash pieces well with SEM plastic prep or the like at any rate. If you do everything right you can get a BD Trims kit to come out looking awesome, it's just a lot of work and frustration to get good pieces from them. | |

| What is and where do you get SEM plastic prep. I'm not familiar with the brand, but sounds like what i need for another project. I was going to use wax and grease remover to clean the plastic. Is it sold where I would buy auto paint supplies ? | |

| I usually get SEM off the internet, from Eastwood -
Link
I also used SEM black to paint my interior pieces. It's a high quality product. | |
