Knock-Off Headers (Pace Setter, Autochrome, Chinese, eBay, etc.)

I don't think Thrasher is in business anymore. I am sure you could get the "other guys headers" elsewhere though...

As far as I know you can't buy TOGs new anymore.

the tog extremes are a snug fit, and the O2 sensor is right on top of the stearing rack. I think zzp might still sell them, but not too sure.

I was wondering for those of us that arent loaded and can't afford the 800 dollar and up slp's would we be able to fit the pacesetters or other heads on this website I found? I really hope that they will I need to do some more exhaust work.

Pacesetters will work, but I see a lot of negative feedback about them everywhere. The ones Travis linked you to are popular these days, and affordable.

I'd love to pick up a set of those headers. Although I don't know how it costs an extra $90 to ship to Canada. I really hate getting gouged on shipping. shout

Anything of any size shipped US to Canada is huge extra bucks, especially on UPS. Smaller stuff is bad too. I can ship a cam and lifters in the US by mail for about $20, but it's $38 to Ontario. I recently shipped a 1968 hood scoop to British Columbia on UPS Ground, cost $79. Plus UPS made him pay a $55 customs fee upon delivery.

Are those headers a direct fit for are riv or does it have to be modified?

Fit's better on a Riv than a GTP... cool

Gotta either move the CAT Back a little bit or you need to do a delete.... regardless you will need the outlet of the Down pipe to be welded in

Looks like I'm gonna start saving my $ after the Xmas! Was gonna get a coated plog and downpipe but I rather have headers!

Sure, I can handle an extra charge but come on... I shipped rims from CA and a whole dash from MI for $70 via Fedex. US shipping is already built into the other price, so it's another $90 on top of that? Don't even get me started on UPS, I skip sellers that only ship via Brown.

*sigh* I'll end my rant there. Sorry to sidetrack this thread. They are awful nice headers and at a great price.

Would the SSAUTO headers be better then this one since they come with the 3" DP? Im lookin to make a purchase on headers soon but want to make sure I get some good ones this way I free up ALL restrictions as possible and get the headers that have the least restrictions in air flow

Yes the SS autochrome also better known as XS headers are MUCH better.. they are SLP knock off's... you can find them also on ebay for 300 buy it now.. with 53 dollar shipping... and check out with windows live and get a huge discount....

Searched in Ebay motors, Parts and Accessories and was unable to find the XS headers or SSAutochrome.
Did find Pacesetters though.

you have to figure it out on EBAY..... you have to buy the XS headers off ebay.... i guess it's easy.... but i have never done it....

the slp knock-offs are 321 stainless. I have a set and made a post about them a while back. I bought them off ebay (search for "grand prix headers") and paid $220 shipped usps to Canada.
I recommend grinding the slag off the welds prior to install. Two members here (one of them being me) have had to modify the crossover pipe as it was slotted wrong to seal properly. This isn't a riviera specific issue.
