| I did actually. Those rotors look a lot better than the Gen III rotors...
I'm guessing you're planning a top swap?

I'm guessing you're planning a top swap? Yes sir . Im getting some other odds and end stuff before I start. There was talk that the gen V rotors are made out of a different material made to wear into itself.

| you would need... -L32 lim (you could mod the L67 one) -zzp Gen v to gen III throttle body adapter (L32's have a drive-by wire, wont work for us) -All necessary s/c bolts (I have the sizes just not in front of me) -L32 LIM gaskets -Gen V s/c gasket -new throttle body gaskets (will need 2 of them because of the adapter) -99' style alternator bracket. -Gen V s/c of course -fresh oil and filter You would need to run a breather unless you re-route the PCV. The pcv routing is different on the L32. You will also need to make a new intake. along with some type of tune such as hptuners or a dyno. You have to remember that you won't get the full benefit of the s/c unless you do other breathing/supporting mods too. Headers, CAI, 104's, 180* t-stat, etc.etc. If i were you I would concentrate on those first, then move on to gen v. I think that covers just about everything. If i missed something someone will probably add it in.

| 99prixgt, I am getting ready to do a GenV and L32 swap also, I was wondering if you could post the list of sizes for the sc bolts that I will need, when you get a chance. Also, could you post a pic of the 99+ Alt. bracket. This is the first time i heard that i will need a different Alt. bracket. I've seen pics of where you have to grind down a section of the Alternator housing for clearance but no mention of bracket swap. What years and model should it come from.??? All the info you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rick | |

Thanks, Rick snout bolts- 8 - M8x1.25x45 (keep in mind that the ones already on there have a flange style head, are torx, which in my case stripped when i went to change the s/c coupler. LIM to s.c bolts 1 - M8x1.25x140 1 - M8x1.25x120 1 - M8x.125x80 7 - M8x1.25x40 I believe that these are also flange style and have a standard thread like the snout bolts.

| 99-04 style alternator bracket off of a GP/Regal (would be a tight fit, but clear). 96-98's wouldn't clear that genV. this is what you need | |
