My first car was a 95 gt grand am with the 3100 and it had dual exhaust. the main muffler on that car had a small rust hole on the edge and because of it, the car sounded pretty nice.

it would make a less noticable difference than 2 but it would still work, i would probly stay pretty close to the half inch diameter tho if you're sticking with those mufflers. I had feared that by using a smaller hole, it would just sound like the high pitched puff like when you have an exhaust leak but actually this is way at the end of the exhaust system so i guess that wouldn't happen anyway. It's also pretty easy to plug this kind of hole later. As far as obviousness goes, my back end is way up in the air and i cant see them from the back so you should be fine.

i doubt it. honestly i don't really think replacing the mufflers with performance ones would make more than a marginal increase in power. but my 155k mile engine is really not gonna show that kind of power as much as one with fewer miles on it too so who knows

| it will technically decrease exhaust back pressure but only to an immeasurably small amount | |

| Agree you won't get that much power increase from mufflers, but they can sound cool. I like the tone of yours with the holes in it. Going to keep it that way? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| for now but im probly gonna mess with it some more and get new muffs in the next few months. I really dont like the tips that are on mine. They make no sense. everything on the car is curved and round and they have these pointy rectangle tips on it. | |
