| The manual says to use the screws, but they're torx heads. Anyone know what size torx they are? I'm pretty sure I have a set of those around here somewhere but if not I'd like to know what size I'll need to borrow from my friend. | |

| They are inverted Torx. Meaning the sockets are female, not male and they are very small. Don't know exact size. If your friend has a set, just borrow the whole set so you'll be sure. | |

| Buy a set. They're cheap, and will come in handy when you work on other parts of the car (or other cars!). _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I agree with AA, to buy a set and start accumulating or building a tool box of your own. You'll be glad you did later on. The size is either E-5 or E-6 I believe. The females are sized "E" and the males are sized in "T".

| after you find the right size torx head... 1. put the cars nose flush with a wall 2.with the low beams on,mark the wall where the center of the headlight shines on the wall (i use chalk) 3. draw a + where the center of the car meet the wall 4.draw a horizontal line connecting the marks.
should look like this: X ------+--------X
4. move the car STRAIGHT back 20ft. (must do this on level ground) 5. readjust the headlights so that they are on the same level and still pointing at the X's.
are people flashing you with the HID's? mine are aimed level, but i get the occasional flash from people on dark roads. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | The light from the headlight on the drivers side should be below and to the right of the left X. It won't hurt to adjust both slightly below and to the right of the X's if your running HID's. | |

| thanks rick, i forgot to mention that. the factory setting on cars is to have the passenger light aimed slightly lower and to the right so you can see the shoulder of the road better. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | Matt, my passenger headlight has been off to the right and I kept it that way until now because I thought it was smart to light up the side of the road a bit too. I guess the company execs think so as well! Thing is, mine's pointing up and VERY far to the right, so I'd like to center it more. | |
