Thanks guy but i still need to do a lot of work on her. I kind of want to make her look like a grand nationals big sister so im going to black out the taillights, turn signels, headlights and the grill. After thats done im redoing the inside all black.

What did you shoot the tailight lense with???

the paint i used is called vht nite-shades and then just any clear coat will work i dont like how my clear came out so im going to wet sand it and re do the clear

Have you ever tried clear coating a clear lens?
If I were to wet sand and polish my front cornering lenses could I clear coat with an Acrylic clear coat to prevent future fogging / yellowing or would that just ruin them ???????

just wet sand the clear coat with 1500 then 2000 grit sand paper, then buff them out with meguiars rubbing compound. i like the 2.0 glaze but thats just me

So, would I use an Acrylic Clear Coat? or some other type of clear?
I have some of that Meguiare's rubbing compound. Actually have a lot of Meguiare's products

yes use acrylic clear coat if you dont it will come out realy cloudy

use used the wrong clear man. use duplicolor truck and SUV clear. its one of the better rattle can clears. its not what i use, but i doubt u want to spend that kinda of money on dupont chrome-clear

now with the lights in the car

What are we looking for???? Did you paint the taillights, if so, I can't tell by those pictures.

I did use the right clear but when you dont have a paint bouth and like 85% humidity spray paint dont work the best so as of right now there is no clear for now till it gets a lil cooler out. and thanks to the guys that do like it.

are you guys painting and clear coating the inside of the tail light lens?

it doesnt look that bad. just wet sand and redo. itl be fine. btw where on gods green earth did u find a 66 gt40? i have a die cast model of that car.

no just the outside because the tail light houseing is to hard to get apart and if you crack it used ones are over $100 to get but i picked up another just incase i didnt like it or if the cops gave me any crap about it.
