| Hello all riviera owners! Happy owner of a 99 pearl white s/c Riviera that I purchased abought 7 months ago from original owner!, and with only 70,000 miles on the clock!. Car is in Excellent condition with only slight signs of wear on the driver's side seat and steering wheel. Shocked and very happy to see that they're is actually an enthusiest site for these cars. I have always liked the modern look of these cars and even with 10 years under it's belt the Riviera still fits in perfectly with today's new cars. Truly a design that was ahead of it's time. I live in a small town in central Texas(so any TX Riviera car clubs or owners feel free to let me know you're out there)and trying to find a good source of mechanical knowledge and expertise is not exactly easy. Very glad to have found this. Will post pics soon. | |

There are various levels of religion/boost/modification on this site, and I think that if you read carefully, you will find a lot of valuable information here...

| Welcome to the site, Mike! Watch your paint, mine on my '98' is starting to chip a little. I wonder if it's a little brittle or just not proper undercoat primer prep. I live in Michigan with extreme temp differences over the year too which might contribute to the problem.... Best of luck with your Riv and enjoy it, best of both worlds, luxury and sportiness.. | |

| WOW! what a welcome! Thanx! is it just me or are Riv owners just naturally awsome! (ok so I'm a little bias) Longest user name huh? SWEET! And to answer Paul's ?, O yea she's BOOSTED! I believe that all 99's are since this was the last of the breed. and Mark, absolutely right man, love this car, has recently developed some electrical issues but I think I have already solved the biggest just from reading the right posts. A GOLD MINE of information! really helps since the nearest dealership is abought 50 miles away and just like everyone else in this bad economy, money is a little tight for now. James, if your paint is origonal the chipping could just be the clear coat pealing off. In wich case a body shop might be able to simply buff off the old clear coat and re-shoot it with a fresh coat of clear. had this done to a previous car, a great CHEAP way to salvage old paint. If it is the actual paint, I would still have a body shop check it out sometimes they can point out options that you may not know abought. | |
