| Found a KILLER deal on some 3.69 gear set... I was told at my mod level and all that it would drop my 1/4 mile time about .5 of a second. idk if this is accurate im not huge into trannies... How hard is it to install gears?? is it something i can do? How much would a tranny shop charge... thanks for the help | |

| I'm not sure if you can get to the gears from the side case alone, or if you need to tear it all apart, which is what I think. Either way there is not enough room to do it in the car, and I would not recommend attempting it yourself unless you have transmission mechanical experience. If you are modding up, it's also a good time to think about some stronger parts elsewhere in the trans. They are not known for liking the additional power. | |

| to get to the gearing, remove side cover, remove pump, pump shaft, valve body, wiring harness, channel plate and you are there.
Like Derek mentions... it's not something to be done in the car. | |

| Ok, now you want an Intense turbine input shaft or ZZP 300M input shaft, harndened 4th clutch hub and properly sized stall converter. Then you are ready for your rebuild. | |
