What do you mean by comp.?? Did you have to replace the PCM.? If so, and you paid someone else to do the install, that's not a bad price. Never mind. I just re-read the title to the post. ECU,.........DUH.

| yeah rick, it was the pcm. it was a reman from acdelco with a 1 year warranty r&r was done by a friend of mine, looked at the receipt and it sez $ 434.12. not a bad price imo. and he repaired a snaggy wiring at the injectors. price for the reman was $324.23 and 1 hour labor @$75. still good considering i couldn't find the prob with my finger up my bum and a martini in the other. the prob has been intermittent since bout 3 months now.got paid yesterday and sed to hell with it and had it done right. along with my new intake, car is bangin! I'm lovin life as of now! and i hear ya XX, little things beginning to creep up now,but i got to put aside duckets for electrical repairs as i cant do them myself....... | |

| it's a basic slop job rick. not a CAI yet. just got a PVC plumbing elbow with a rubber connector and a fat K&N hooked up to it. works better than stock though and sounds terrific. CAI comes later when i begin the body work. | |

Are you going to have the RSSA totally re-manufactured or modify the existing set-up.?

| modify the existing set up. wont know for sure if my design will work until i get it in the air and have my welder buds figure things out. otherwise the plan i have seems sound. I'm excited to get it done. | |

| Very odd that the PCM would just stop sending info to a specific cylinder, while functioning fine otherwise. They usually don't behave in that manner. I would suspect it was a loose connection - but replace with new PCM and that would fix it. What kind of toubleshooting was done? Did he try reinstalling the old PCM to see if it works? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| well he did a bunch of diagnostic stuff among them was a frayed connection at one of the injectors and a host of other electrical problems that added up to more than an hours work. the pcm seemed high at the time but i have grown tired of the electrical gremlins that have plagued this car for a long time now..so..f..k it...had it done by a pro and paid for it i guess.... | |

| yeah me too rick. but the air idle control valve ,not wanting to be left out of the recent festivities, decided that she couldn't take it any longer so she committed suicide last night. i found her successor at the local parts place. cost: $57.99.....baby too wants to be part of the year end holidays and wants her presents in advance...what baby wants baby gets. now if she could only cough up a b..w job now and again? | |
