Hello!

My name is Jason and I am from Westlake, Ohio. I am currently considering the rescue of a 95 Riv. from a mud hole (its been there for 3 years) out in the counrty near where i live....its in terrible shape outside.....frame is rotting, and the interior is shot.....but surprisingly, after 3 years of sitting in the mud, the series 1 fired right up!.....gonna warn you purists out there: you are not gonna like what I intend to do with this car.... pirate evil twisted happy

Whatsup Jason

Is this to be purely a project or daily driver? It sounds like it's seen better days anyway and if you were going for the purist intent, it would probably be much more economical to get another one that's in good shape. What are your intentions?

IIRC,this is not the first riv saved from a bog. a few months ago someone else pulled a riv from a rotting death too. anybody remember that one? BTW hope u get her going.and a fiery death is preferable to a inglorious decaying one for a riv....so..whatever you are going to do with her..more power to ya!

turtleman.....im NOT a purist in ANY reguard

robo....there is irony in your comment about "fiery death"....i have been looking at a lot of pix of "rat rods"....and this car kinda found me....i have a company vehicle that is my DD ( ford e250)....i also have a severe bi-polar disorder that causes me to have wild creative outbursts.....so im guessing my project will involve lots of matte black/primers.....and rivets......its name: River Rat

EDIT: ever notice how, when looking at the front of the car, the fender lines kinda look like horns?....that was why i became interested in it in the 1st place.....then i saw the s/c.....$600 and it runs quite well for having 162k on the clock.....doesnt matter what i do to it.......its all for fun!.....and for the exp..... devil

Note that this site is really not for 'Purists'. We are all into modding for one reason or another to unlock the potential we see, hence the name 'Riviera Performance'!
