| Hey guys, I did one last oil change before selling the car(hopefully tomorrow, there's a guy coming to look at it around lunchtime), and I noticed some embossed letters on my transmission panel while I was under the car. I wiped away some dirt and found "4T60-E." I always thought the '95s had the 4T60 with the vacuum controls, not the -E with the electronic controls. Am I supposed to have this transmisison? I know the '98 and '99 have the HD trannies. | |

| Clarification:
The 4T60-E was electronic but still used a vacuum modulator - and in my opinion it shifts better because of it...
The 4T65-E has no modulator, and came out across the board for both engines... The "H.D. units" are a variation for the blown motors, so there are both 4T65-E and 4T65-E H.D. IIRC, one is RPO MN3 and one is MN7. | |

| Ok, thanks. For a second there, I thought I was lucky and someone else put a better transmission in. Guess I'm just a regular joe! | |
