| After hanging around this site for a few weeks, it's time to introduce myself. I'm Jim, and I may well be the oldest man here. To give you an idea, the Riv is my 3rd Buick...and I sold the last one 51 years ago. Bought this one 2 months ago and drove it about 5 miles to a shop I trust to put it in top shape. I feel really lucky to have found this site, as I have a lot to learn--and everything seems to be here. I'm an old shade tree mechanic, but this time I'm out of my depth. | |

| Thanks, Scott. That's what I've noticed. It's truly amazing. And you can bet that I'll have questions. | |

| Aaron: Thanks for the warm welcome. Hope you'll feel the same way a year from now. No, I can't beat 75; I'm 73. But I'll get there sooner than I'd like (time really does fly at this age), and I sincerely hope that by then I'll still be a "junior" member.
James: Thanks. Looking forward to reading more about your '64. I had a car that color once. Didn't particularly like it. I assume you plan to change the color eventually.
Klix: Thanks. Yup, this is the place alright. I'd hate to go it alone.
Mark: Re: Dynaflow. I remember the ones you are thinking about. Mine was a "new, improved" model in a '53 Special with the V8 (that was the one year Buick used both straight and V8s. The Dynaflow locked up well enough to leave a considerable amount of rubber on the street.

| Welcome, you'll learn that the '95 is the oddball year but I prefer the M62 supercharger's sound to the M90's any day! | |

As far as '95 being the bastard child, Ilan is right, but if you aren't planning to modify it it'll be just fine... and if you're used to macadam-melting torque, it's probably your best choice.
