| What do you think, about the valve that adjusts the pressure? Good or bad? I put one on my car, trans shifts like a dream... I would say, it's running about 90% pressure.... | |

| If you mean an adjustable vacuum modulator, yes, they are good. I've put them on all my transmissions that used vacuum. | |

| Easy. Just one 10mm bolt(i think), take out the old "giant" modulator, stick in the new, re-bolt the bracket, and done. Where the vacuum connects is where you stick a small flat head screw driver to adjust your line pressure. _________________ | |

| Its special cause it is adjustable; you can firm up your line pressure for crisper shifts. Helps remove the Buick "lazy transmission syndrome" The stock one is non adjustable. _________________ | |

| Not really, the only thing is the line pressure is temp dependent. So if you up the pressure, and its a cool morning, it might be a bit of a jolt shifting from park to say reverse. As far as harm to the tranny, the higher line pressure makes the shifts happen a little quicker, so no hunting, and less wear on the plates as I understand it. _________________ | |

| Its a flat head screw inside the valve. Clock-wise is firmer, counter is "un-firmer" _________________ | |

| Again, it's an " adjustable vacuum modulator"... and it should be a standard item in any good, independent parts store. I first installed one in the Turbo 350 in my '72 Cutlass, approximately one million years ago. | |

| As said before, mine is ATP part# JX70. I dunno if you can get it anymore though.
If at the parts counter you could just ask to see(and hold) their entire selection of modulators for the 95 sc riv. Then see if it has an adjustable screw in the hold where the vacuum line goes. Try these ones: FRAM Part # FM2333 AIRTEX / WELLS Part # 7R1004. For 20$ it can't hurt to see. _________________ | |
