| Heres a pic of my car with the tint on it And heres more pics of the hood scoop. I was in a hurry for the finish work so I have all the black rubber C channel for the under side just havent put it on yet I have a 9 month pregnant lady and shes ready to blow up any day. She was having contractions the day I did the scoop Doing this has lowered my intake temps 40 degrees going 60mph. And after a heavy drive I can stop and put my hand right on the supercharger and it wont burn ya. I logged before and after temps with my laptop using EFI LIVE My moding process has stopped for a little bit though due to chasing around a oil leak. So far ive changed front main seal and both valve cover gaskets and I think I finally got it and some extras The scoop was baught on ebay its a WRX STI upgrade. I searched for 2 months and got it for $16 shipped | |

| Looks sweet. I'd be bitchin at the the ppl that did the tints tho. They should've taken the quarter glass interior trim out so they could tint the whole window | |

| Yes I did the tint myself and it is not done yet. Just posted the pic to show how dark the 5% is. The only window that is without flaws is the passenger side front window. As soon as this kid is born I will be redo-ing it. | |

| Another black Riv and this one has the dark interior. *drool* Looks nice! I don't really mind the border along the inside of the rear quarter window not being tinted. It's the same on mine. Oh well. edit: Wait.... did all Series 1 motors come with black valve covers like that? I like that. | |

| Stock 95 valve covers are grey like the others. They were just painted, by the looks of them. | |

| I really like that scoop Shawn! If you don't mind my asking how do you have it setup? Is it like a 'ram air' intake setup or more of a cooling fan for the supercharger? | |

| It must be for engine bay cooling. The scoop is no where near the intake.
Would interesting to know which way air moves through the duct at high speed. I know there is a lot of high pressure under the hood coming from the grill and underneath openings. All of that air wants to squeeze out the cowl, but I wonder if it might seek the hood scoop for some additional venting.
Still, it's got a unique look, and I'm glad it's at least intended to be functional! _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| Yes The valve covers are painted. And I placed the scoop right over the SC. When the hood was cut If I would have spaced the SC up about 5" it would have been right through the hood. My idea is to cool the Supercharger as you drive. And after a very spirited drive you can put your hand right on it and it is warm but will not burn you instantly like it did before I did this mod. Before I would let the car sit for 2 hours and you still wouldnt believe how hot the SC was | |

| Shawn, what is the height of the scoop?
Aaron, I agree it would be nice to be able to measure actual air flow thru the scoop at various speeds.
Do you have any way of blocking it off if driving in heavy rain?

Do you have any way of blocking it off if driving in heavy rain? The height is about 2 inches prolly close to 3 As of a way to block the rain, First yes it is needed in heavy rainstorm. got caught in one and car misfired for 2 days till it dried out and im fabbing up a plate that fits in it to block it. Ill have to just pop the hood and stick it in the hole.

| Heres my little write up on my new sway bar links I got these off of energy suspension for about $10 per side. There very hard poly. You cannot dent it or scratch it with your fingernail Heres one assembled Heres what i was dealing with. Both sides of the car were completly broke So my first problem was that I needed to cut off the old ones. They were all rusted and stuck So for that i got my local mechanic to help And here it is all asembled. What a difference from no sway bar at all | |

| Your control arms look in about as good a shape as mine. I think when I do the ball joints this winter I'm gunna replace the whole arm on each side with the joint, and call it good. A little more money but less hassle in the long run. I wish MOOG offered the HD stab links for tyhe rear end of the car as well though. | |

I thought they did. I could swear I bought a Moog pair from my local Indy Moog Dealer. As usuall could be wrong, but maybe they did back then and not now. I have since replaced those with ES's when I did the Addco rear sway bar swap. Wanted 3/8" bolts instead of the Moog's 5/16"
