Greetings again!

It was all fine before. Went recently 30mph, has pressed throttle approximately 75% and suddenly as though has beaten out gear. By inertia has parked, has brought Riv on tow car on service. There was a target shaft from the tranny burst in 2 inches from edge, from what side I do not remember. Have put used one, have given me the car. Has gone, at once has felt something strange. It has appeared it goes forward only in 3 gear without dependence from lever position. Service was already closed, I has reached accurately to the house. Next day has arrived to service again. It has appeared it is not inserted round multicontact on the right side of the tranny. Have latched, SES has gone out, but the car goes only in 3 gear as before. Serviceman has scanned, has not found errors. Speaks to me - it is necessary to remove-assort-check and nothing else.
I think it`s too strange there`re no errors by Tech2. May be service centre tricks me?
What do you think, how can I check up tranny without removal?

I do not think there is a way to avoid removing the transmission.

In general only electrical problems (things that can be found by a sensor) will turn the SES light on. Sounds like there was a mechanical mistake repairing the transmission, and the serviceman is trying to repair again by removal and checking.

I gather you are in Republic of France? In the US, a company called "Transgo" offers repair and upgrade kits for the 4t60E and I think you should see if your service man can get one for your car - since he has to repair the transmission anyway it will help prevent future problems to install that kit. It will also be a good idea for him to obtain the service bulleting that General Motors issued concerning that transmission, which actually you should be able to get by asking *very* nicely at an Opel dealer.

Today`s news: serviceman called me and said he rummaged in vacuum lines. Looks like it works now, but he recommend to remove and check it. I think I should test it myself.

I`m in Moscow, Russian Federation. All our transmission services offer 4t60e rebuilding for app. 2500$
