Thanks, I want to keep it all stock since it is a numbered car. Its got just over 63,000 miles on it. I spent around six hours getting most of the grung off the engine compartment when I got it back from TX, still not quite right, but it will be soon!

| since you're the only one here (that i am aware of) who regularly drive a 95' and 99', can you feel a big difference in the two? power wise, tranny, and suspension/handling? maybe make a small post somewhere about the differences between the two. i know we are all curious _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | Beautiful Riv, I'd love to stumble upon an underpriced SA someday. My 98 will do for now though. | |

Thanks for the compliments! I try to keep my cars clean! There is a pretty noticable diiference, even though there is only 15 HP difference between the two, 50 MPH to 75 MPH to pass someone on a two lane road, seems to go a lot quicker in the '99. I've only had it for around a year and a half and have had the '95 for around seven years and the '99 has more miles on it, but the Silver Arrow seems to float quite a bit more in all situations than the '95?!? Not sure why, might have been driven harder by the first owner? I'm going to try the STB soon and see if it helps!

| Nice Silver Arrow John! I like the dash kits but don't think I'll add it to this one. I didn't get mine soon enough to retire it with that low of miles on it! I think we've talked about this before, from what I can tell from the ones I have seen, the dealership that sold mine new couldn't follow instructions and put the numbered badge in the wrong location!? | |

| I have the 4th to last Riv made, although the badge says 69/200. I have a beautiful wood dash kit and about 88 000 miles. I use it as a daily driver, and it is in for some minor body work due to some unfortunate parking lot accidents. It is a great car, although a few bugs are beginning to creep in (bad coil pack, gas level sender, tape player and of course the annual air conditioning line replacement).

| Nice to see the wife and I aren't the only ones to own SA's here! I'm currently assembling a database of 99 Riviera VIN's and particularly the Silver Arrows. I already have #69 and #152 in it but would be very interested in any VIN's of other 99's. If anyone would be willing to contribute, email or PM me with your VIN, exterior/interior color, mileage and city/state/zip. I don't need owner's names. Any mods to your 99 should be noted as well like aftermarket wheels, landau top, dash kit, etc. Any personal information would be kept in confidence. | |

-Gregg That’s probably true since you have the highest VIN on Alan's Registry. The SA's weren't made in order at the factory, even though there were only 200 Rivera’s painted Sterling Silver Metallic, the SA options were sent as a separate package. I have 63K on mine, and have a few nicks and scratches from the previous owner, but haven't had any of the problems you have, yet anyway!

| I have 2 Riv VINs on my list that are higher than Gregg's #69 but they are unusually out of the normal range so I'm not sure what the deal is.
Yes, it's true that the SA's were not built in order oddly enough and it was a dealer installed package. I'm sure there are probably some that don't have the badging and I've found a couple used SA's at dealers that had no idea of the significance of the SA package. We bought ours from a dealer that was clueless about the SA's and thought it was an average Buick. hehe

I spent around six hours getting most of the grung off the engine compartment when I got it back from TX, still not quite right, but it will be soon! Pick up a junkyard air box and gut it and swap for a 3.4 pulley. I did the same on my 99 at 60K when I bought it. I drove it like I hated it for 73K additional miles, with no problems. Now I drive it when the V cant get traction. Wonderful car. One of the rarest . I believe I may have seen one Silver Arrow on the road. Love the tastefully embriodered seats

Be careful trying to cram lots of boost into the engine without supporting mods. Every engine reacts a little differently to mods. Monitoring is key to safely adding power. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

I may do something with the one I just bought, but not until I get it right first of all and not until I can monitor it as Aaron says.
