95 Riv SC. With the engine off, when you take off the radiator cap the coolant runs out. You need to test (chemically) for exhaust gas in the coolant. Dealers and better shops can. You can do it yourself for about $60 using a U-View UV560000 Combustion Leak Test Kit" you can buy off Amazon, or Sears, or other places (NAPA I think). Cheaper alternative is OEM Industrial #27145. There is also the Lisle Tool kit at this LINK. I would probably get the Lisle kit. If no exhaust in the coolant then you probably just need to "burp" the system, there are other posts on this site about that. While you are at it check your rad and heater hoses, and the elbow near the SC tensioner. Albertj | |

| No problem, and thanks for asking. Here's a rule to follow when posting in tech:
First locate the correct forum to post based on your specific car, year, engine. Example: Supercharged 3800 Tech, Series I Engine & Transmission. If a topic already exists here, and is closely related to your issue, post in that thread. If not, start a new thread with a subject line describing your issue.
Fur future reference, if you find a topic similar to yours in a forum that is not correct for your car, year, engine, please search again for related topics in your car's forum. If you can't find any close, you may start a new thread in the proper forum (using the above rule). The problem with posting in the wrong forum is that our cars and their engines were different from year to year, so you might get the wrong advice, or someone later on could read the info posted about your car and confuse it with their car, which might be different.
Thx, Admin
