| Ive heard mixed answers over and over, some people say you need a computer with XP in order to tune with DHP, while others say that they have tuned with a computer with windows 7 no problem. I just got a powrtuner but i dont have a laptop, i was thinking of buying new but if my tuner wont work with 7 then i might as well look for a used one with XP right? Any input is appreciated. | |

| I didn't get it to work on win 7 but I didn't quite try everything. I just set up a dual-boot for win xp. | |

| One of the requirements to make it run is .NET1.1 which is not W7 friendly. I keep an old laptop around for tuning software. (has lots of other useful purposes too) | |

| I've got a used a used 12" lappy I'm looking to sell. It's not in the best shape, but I ran DHP on it for a few years w/ no problems. Battery is dead, but runs fine with adapter. Comes with a copy of XP and MS Office installed, PM me if interested. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Who here knows how to get this POS dhp tuner to work with windows 7? It cant find the interface. I've done everything I've found on other forums. Trying to run it on winduhs 7 64 bit. Its mapping the keyspan to com port 35 and I dont see a way to change it nor does this old ass black box see anything higher than com port 16. | |

| Go into the keyspans settings and change it to another com port, i believe mine is at 5. Once you have done that go into the dhp program and match the com port settings. It took a few trys to get it right but once you get all of the right drivers and get the com ports matched it should work, if it doesnt work after that i would say its because youre not using XP. | |

I tried, it wont let me edit the com port. Its not big deal though. I got a hard drive and copy of windows xp for my junk d610 last night so its not longer an issue. | |

| If that doesnt work, try re-installing the driver for your keyspan. As soon as i did that it let me change the com port. | |
