| Hey, my name is Brian, I'm 14 (15, shortly), and my first car is going to be a '95 Riviera. I'm looking to do some performance mods, as well as some cosmetic mods. Starting with hooking the S/C back up. (Looooong story.)
Glad I found this place; I've been looking for a Riviera community and this seems like a good one.

| Hey, thanks for the welcome. You can get your permit at 15 if you take drivers ed; if you don't, you just get your license when you're 16. I haven't decided whether I'll mess with DE and the permit or not.
Long story short, the car was making a horrible knocking noise and running very, very rough. My dad thought it was a blown S/C, so he removed the internals so the belt could spin off the pulley, but the S/C wouldn't be operating.
Well, ends up he was wrong and the issue was with the harmonic balancer. So, the internals sit in the garage, and as of yet, haven't been reinstalled...

| I would take drivers ed if I was you. Get as much practice as you can. Here in MA you get a discount on insurance with it too. | |

| Welcome, Brian (Cman?). Appears the Riviera fever has hit you early! You're lucky you can get your license so easily at such an early age. In Ohio, to get your license you must take drivers' edu, and it's not offered at most schools. In 1994, it cost me about $300!! _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Hey CMan! To be so young and have such good taste in cars, and not be going "with the crowd" and what's in"style" speaks volumes of your enlightenment . Welcome! post some pics when you can. | |
