| This pretty '95 is for sale in a thread by ZEP, which says the wheels were chrome when he bought it. I really like those--they are the same as my '95's painted wheels, but chrome. I have seen only two or three cars with anything similar, and I know they were not a factory option, because I have the '95 sales brochure. I also have the '96 brochure, and the chrome wheels that appeared that year are different. Can anybody tell me if this style was ever sold by Buick or any aftermarket supplier? Or is it just a case of the stock wheels being taken off and chromed? | |

| I have seen this on a couple of maroon riviera's now, if you look closely the R emblem on the center caps are painted gold. Maybe it was some sort of special edition or a dealership upgrade. | |

| I am not 100% sure, but I believe these were available as original equipment in 1999. | |

| Most of the Riv's OE wheels were available silver or chrome. | |

| Are you sure Derek? As Riv95SC said, I don't think that the 12 spoke was available in chrome in 95 and I have never seen the seven spoke in silver? | |

| Chrome 12 spokes came on my 96 from the factory, but they are not in my sales brochure either. the center caps on the ones pictured above are from ebay (not uncommon to have the OEM ones break) The gold R is a sticker or engraved. The OEM ones from the dealer are embossed and chrome. Though i believe the dealer can no longer get them that way
that paint is amazing btw. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | The only chrome wheel available from the factory was the seven spoke version, they said they were available "mid-year" of ’95 but I have not seen or heard of any '95s that have them on unless the owner bought them and replaced the 12 spoke wheel.
The 12 spoke wheel was base coat clear coat from the factory, that was the only way they came, there was an aftermarket company that was chroming them for a few years, that may have been where the ones the dealer put on came from, but it was never offered from the factory as a chrome wheel.

| Ahhh, well that clears that up, thanks Randall. Do you know if the dealers offered these chrome 12 spoke wheels all five years? | |
