Intake Baffles
What are these ? Where are they ? Can they cause a rattle in the engine ?
I have a low mileage (30K) 97 S/C that has a rattly noise, worse when first start up but can be heard while driving with some acceleration.
Thank You

If you open the air cleaner case and remove the air filter you'll see the air intake resonator.

IMHO the odds that's your problem are not good. I'd look at the maintenance records and check all the work that's been done on the car for something someone left loose on the engine when doing maintenance. I'd also look for things that deteriorate with age, like rubber motor mounts, that may have lost their springiness. Also depending on how long you personally have had the car (you joined 2 years ago) I'd take the supercharger and accessory belts off and turn the pullies by hand (the idlers, the PS pulley, the alternator pulley) listening for any grinding or chuckling or rattling.

Can't say until hearing it, and at 30K? seems a little light mileage to have the coupler worn out really enough to make the blower coupler wack? unless the odo is tampered or wrong... I dunno. need to see/hear it.
