| I'll be ashamed to show it now, you did a really nice job on this one. I'm drooling all over that brushed dash kit. Every time I see one of these on the road I'm kicking myself in the rear or letting it go... | |

| Thanks Sean. I'm gonna get some better interior shots posted one of these days when I can get Susan to take them for me. "Chick Magnet"? Yeah, the car gets a lot of attention, but when the chicks see the old geezer driving it...well, that's why I keep my dark tinted windows UP when I'm cruising. | |

| Right! But thankfully, chicks come in all ages To avoid the impression I'm just a "motorhead" I'm planning on a full-trunk decal of Al Einstein under an old Buick with a wrench in his teeth, grinning | |

| I can't believe I haven't been keeping up with this thread. The dash looks amazing! Those wheels are absolutely perfect, and now I miss my Riviera more than I did before . That car has to be a blast to drive with all those nice little upgrades, even if they are just appearance! Oh, did I tell you I was taking Riviera donations? | |

| It always amazes me how the Riv remains to looks so current with the right paintjob and maintenance.
Park this next to some of the new luxury sport coupes sold today and drag in someone who doesn't know about cars and let them choose. You will be pleasantly surprised.

| Thanks guys. Andrew, you are so right and sometimes it can be a little frustrating when I attempt to explain that the Riv is a 16 year old car. I can hardly wait to put antique plates on it in about 3 1/2 years and see the reactions. ______________________________________ Z-type, my offer still goes... | |

| Your car is excellent! If my 1998 did not already have a looks-like-new wood dash kit I would install the stainless like yours. I have thought about a wheel change for years because I like the scale of the 18" versus the stock 17” on my 1998 Riviera. Your wheels look like they were meant to be on the Riviera. Thanks for the great pictures and updating posts. Your effort will cost me $-thousands next year for a tire/wheel change when I bring my Riviera out of winter storage. Your Riviera modifications are excellent and convinced this old fart how to personalize his Riviera, yet keeping sympathetic to the Rivera’s overall design intent. Yours is a true future classic mild custom.

| I live in MA too, I've also heard about that.
Most recently I saw an old boxy VW or old fashioned Civic with Antique plates.
I think there is some sort of benefit though. Doesn't antique status open up the possibilty of extended warranty programs? I tried to get one in 2008 for my 1995 but it was too old.
But some car mag stated that antiques could be elligeable for ext. warranty prog., but not sure the pricing.

No Saturdays ? That sucks !!! Another nutty rule I heard was that you can't drive a vehicle with exposed tires in MA. So the Prowler could only be "driven to carsshows". But then I see all these lifted Wranglers and wonder why they are exempt. Those have a complete 360-degrees of exposure.

Hi Al... I really appreciate your compliments on my Riv.
I truly take a great deal of pride in this car and you have made my day. I am posting some better pics of what I've done with the dash to give you a little better idea of the effect. However, I will say these pics still do not capture it the way I would like. Please overlook the dirty carpet ...https://i.servimg.com/u/f40/16/30/02/91/riv_5117.jpg https://i.servimg.com/u/f40/16/30/02/91/riv_613.jpg https://i.servimg.com/u/f40/16/30/02/91/riv_710.jpg
