| Well here is certainly an odd one. I get a whistling almost tea kettle like sound coming from somewhere in the engine bay whenever I go over 50 mph. The noise is not affected by speed after 50 mph and engine rpm or boost has no effect on the sound. Before 50 there is no sound. I checked all of my vac lines and all seemed secure, I tightened the intake a bit more as well as my maf sensor. I've yet to test drive it after the tightening.
I'm really at a loss for what it could be.

| Yes I have a sunroof, the noise occurs with it open or closed and no diff with ac on/off.
I'm getting a bit of a knocking noise under load under about 2500rpm recently too. Possibly from gas that I got from a station I've never used before...the car starting whistling right after I got this gas. I've also test driven the car after checking over the vac lines/intake and there is no change. Braking also has no effect.

This might not be it but I was getting a knocking noise too and it was my fenderwell lining that was loose and it was just rattling with acceleration. Could be worth it to check that out.

| ive heard this too. It is VERY high pitched correct?
I would hear it when I would go in reverse. and also when rolling in drive (idle carrying you). As soon as I tapped the throttle, it was gone.
haven't heard it lately, even in reverse. never figured out what it was.

| Here is an update, after about 70 miles of freeway driving today the noise stopped. I had popped the car into neutral and killed the engine and the noise did not change. I'm pretty sure it's something in the left front corner of the car and I'll further update after I investigate. | |

| Not sure what you mean by left corner, but maybe power steering. Maybe check the fluid which is like catfish noodling in an engine bay. | |
