| Crank position sensor or fuel pump wiring . In order of likelihood. IMHO, YMMV. | |

| How quickly does it cut out? If it is instantaneous, I would suspect ignition. If it slowly cuts out, runs rough and then stalls, i would think fuel. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

Crank position sensor, ignition switch or bad wiring somewhere. With the engine running, move the ignition switch a bit. see if you can get it to cut out. Also, look at the firewall wiring harness near the brake booster. Move the wires around, and see if it stalls that way. I would check those 2 things first. Then change the CPS if it is original. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

| In addition, check all the ground connections. There is only one ground from the battery to the chassis. That is the most important one. The others are from the chassis to the motor, starter, etc... | |

You need to remove the harmonic balancer. I never did a case learn when I did mine. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU
