| Man those buick designers have always loved the fender crease. The 65 looks very show worthy, any trophies? | |

| Very nice Jimmy. Clean and perfect. Both cars have got to turn a lot of heads but the 65 is drop dead gorgeous. Is that the way you bought her or did you have to do a lot of work to her? | |

| I bought her just about the way you see her. I did put whitewalls back on because I believe that the Buick Riviera is a luxury sport coupe. And I've always thought that whitewalls really dress up a car. When I was young, black tires meant the car was cheap. I have green neon lights underneath the car, and I put two 10" subs and an amp in the trunk along with a 6 disc cd changer. I put a am/fm cassette radio in the dash with the wired remote for the cd changer hidden in the ashtray area. The radio fits in the dash with knobs that fit in the stock mounting so I didn't chop up the dash. I have green dice all over the place, hanging from the rear view mirror, on the door locks, on the valve stems and license plate bolts that light up when the lights are on.I'm just an old customizer at heart.......... | |

| whenever you feel you need a change, I whole heartedly suggest painting the white Riv to match that classic beauty. Unless your hooked to the white, which is fine.
I want to find one to match my color. I saw one at a car show that was factory color but I didn't get a name.

I've entered her in a few shows and took a first in one. If you get real close there are a few scratches and a nick here and there. I drive my cars and when you do that stuff happens. I don't think that people that store their cars away for fear of imperfection must only have them for investment. I still get a kick out of blowing off 5.0 Mustangs and their pals. I almost lost my license when I had my 64 and 65 GTO's. I drive my cars and play my music loud just like you dudes. I guess some of us never grow up. lol your older bro jimmyriv

I want to find one to match my color. I saw one at a car show that was factory color but I didn't get a name. I actually liked the dark green that my 96 was with the gold pinstripe. If I could have found one like it 98 or 99 with low miles I would had it. I'm not crazy about white but you should see that pearl under a streetlight. It just glows, but so does that seafoam green. I couldn't get a green one but I did put a teal double pinstripe on it. I didn't care much for the silver alloy wheels and the factory chromes are real expensive. I got some Helo Axe chrome wheels from Discount Tires for around $150 @ I also put tiny whitewalls on because my Riviera is a luxury sport coupe.I've enclosed a pic of my 96........ | If I got another Riv (95-99) I'd go in the opposite direction of what the Racera is all about. I'd want an elegant black Riv and figure out the best two tone look with a classic cream color and black. As for the interior the lightest colored tan/cream I could find and in hopefully great condtion. And I don't know if they makethem for modern cars, the 50's style thick whitewalls like this Polish up the chrome and that would be my "out on the town" ride.

Not a bad deal at $30 a year and the meets are a good time for all. The last generation has been picking up a good bit over the last few years, I think year before last it was the largest class, usually it had been the 63-65 class?!?

Will do. I'd love to meet some of you younger bro's that like Rivs. I know what you mean about the stuck up, scared, or comatose older owners. I went to the ROA Nationals in Wisconsin in 2001 and the ROA people are way friendly. That is what you get when you are with people that share your interest. There nothing but Rivieras as far as the eye could see. Most of the club members fell out when my brother and I cruised around at night with the green neon ground effect lights on the blues and oldies playing through my system. I had the seafoam green one there too! I was loving it......... jimmyriv ROA#6721

I missed seeing your car at night, i'm sure it is a sight to see. I have neon for my '65, if I ever get it finished that is! I have been to four of the last seven meets, it is a good time! Hope the meet this year is the biggest yet. I know over the last few years the last gen has been taking over as the largest class registered , I think it had been the '63-'65 class for the most part before!

clean rides man, love the 65 I belong to the ROA and I got the Club plate at the 2001 national meet at Lake Geneva,Wi. The ROA is a real good source for tech advice on our Rivieras, especially the older ones. I've found now that you guys are the goto guys for last generation Rivs. Thank goodness for this forum!!! On the whitewalls I've always loved whitewalls and think they really dress up a car. Most people think chrome wheels need black tires, but I thought a really small 3/8" whitewall wouldn't look too bad with the chromes. Jimmyriv ROA#6721
