My name is Joseph from Stratford, Connecticut and we have owned our 95 Buick Riviera since it was purchased NEW in 1995. It has 50k original miles on it and as it seems with these wonderful gems, we are often having to replace something that is going on it but we still love it and wish to keep it for many years to come.

I also still drive my 96 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup with 65k original on a daily basis. Love them both and hope to keep them around together as a family for years to come.

Hi,

Yes miles. Actually she has 46,980 miles on her as of today.

Black Cherry Metalic with the Burgundy interior. We did a little something when she was ordered. I always liked the way gold accents looked with the coloration so I had all of the interior and most of the exterior trim that was silver redone in gold plate. Also she had a custom burled wood finish done at the dealership when she arrived too.

I will try to get images of her some time this week. Where should I post them? I read that we can not post until after we are members for 7 days, so I guess it will have to wait until that time period has expired.

I am looking for one small part that my mechanic accidently broke a few years ago. It is the plastic bezel for the passenger side power seat switch. He was sorely appologetic about breaking it (where the screw goes into the seat, the small round broke off.) Alas, he could not find one to replace it with.

We just had the Airbag/Horn assembly replaced due to the horn going off one night, all night while she was in the garage. And then the brake lights went out at the very same time which we had the entire signal switch assembly replaced as we were told it is a normal go on these beauties. Oh and the trunk lid release and we now have to have her go in because the AC is only coming out of the passenger side. This only started on Tuesday so I am sure that we will have it fixed this week.

Still all in all, I love her to death. She makes a statement when we go to Newport RI for R&R at our family vacation house.

Father in law has a super cool 66 Corvair Corsa Convertible in the identical color with Black Interior. They are so cool side by side. He also has a really neat 1961 Morris Minor Traveler woodie wagon in Off White. Can hardly wait until the Riviera is of age to be able to go to the car shows with her older siblings.

About that seat switch bezel - I cut a flat repair piece out of aluminum sheet that is trimmed to cover the lower part of the back of the trim bezel - then I epoxied the plastic pieces together on the aluminum. After a day to harden, screwed it back on. Can't see the repair and I'm pleased. If it's too shattered you can epoxy a small aluminum repair piece on both sides and reinstall, until you can find a replacement bezel.

you might consider asking dealer if the bezel is available in *any* color - would not be surprised if they had gray or something that you could then paint with VHT vinyl paint/dye to the color you need.

What happened with mine - my kid brother borrowed my Riv and did not tell me he broke the switch, just said when he returned the car it was in a dumb place... yeah if you shuffle I guess so... he tried putting it back (it kind of snaps in place) but it popped out first time I had to adjust the seat...

Thank you so very much for the warm welcome.

I look forward to being here and discussing everything with everyone.

Love the images of the Riviera in ghpcnm. Looks like it is the same color as mine too!
