| So this one has me curious. When I run the car in Acc Run mode (not the radio only mode, the full accessory mode with fans, lights, etc) I get the SES, Battery, and Oil lights on and remain on. So I just never run my car in this mode but is it actually hinting at something truly wrong? These lights never appear otherwise Edit: "Acc" changed to "Run" -Admin | |

| It's just testing the lamps. When you turn the key, this lets you know the alerts will work - if there's ever a problem. They should not come on with the engine running unless the car thinks something is wrong.
For example, if your oil pressure lamp were burned out, how would you know? If you ever lost pressure, it only takes a few seconds for damage to result. That lamp gives the heads up to turn off the engine pronto.

| Just checking because all the other warning indicators light up as well but they all proceed to shut off leaving these three oddly specific ones on | |

| Sorry, I misunderstood. I don't know how you can run the car in acc mode. With the engine running (in start) the lights go out, right? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Yeah with the engine running, the lights go out at least. Accessory is the last turn click the key will go to before turning the car over. It will run the full dash, lighting, ventilation, and wipers w/out the engine. In this mode those three lights persist after all the others fade. | |

| On my car, the key position you're referring to is labeled "Run". "Acc" is one position counter clock-wise to "Off". _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Oh sorry for the miscommunication on my part, I took that pic at like 2 at night. Then I guess I'm referring to 'run' and those three remain lit | |

| When you think about it, that makes perfect sense. After all, there is no oil pressure or alternator voltage until you start the car. These lights go out when you start the engine. The ABS & TC lamps can be tested with the car not running, I guess. The SES I'm not sure. Probably a different kind of test. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

The SES light is on because the engine is not working properly, but the ignition is on. Likewise with the oil lamp and battery light. Key on, but sensors in alarm status... You also power the coils and fuel pump in that key position. Personally, I would advise against it. | |

| That makes a lot of sense actually. Thanks guys! I don't really see why I'd ever use that particular run mode for more than a second at a time anyway. It just caught my attention and I usually prefer preventative maintenance so just thought I'd be sure. Thanks again! | |
