| I have a 95 rivi s/c an was wondering if it is it possible to swap the front dash panel wit 96 riviera or higher want to put a touch screen in it but it would seem like I would have to cut the dash up to accomplish that, which I do not want to do.if somebody could help me out I would be greatful... | |

| Usually, the dash needs to be cut in these cars to put a flat touch screen head unit in the car. That is, the touch screens are usually double-din and they can't fit perfectly with the Riv's configuration (I believe you have to square-out the rounded corners, at least on post-95 models). Can't comment on the dash swap - I'll test it out next weekend though | |

| Hey Mike, I made it home and looked @ my dad's 95... it looks like the dash is attached the same way no matter the model (as far as fasteners go). I did not take the panels off and switch them out just because I don't want to mess with the 95 too much, but all the attachment points are the same. The HVAC and radio configuration is obviously different between the two dash styles and the HVAC will have to be moved further toward the driver (in the 95 it is way more recessed than the 98). If you need me to look more in-depth for you, let me know - looks like a lot of fabrication work | |

| I'm not sure if you can switch out the panels between a 95 and 96, but I have a double din touch screen in my 96 and it looks beautiful. It required no cutting of my front dash panel, but some of the plastic behind the factory radio needed to be trimmed away.
If the 96+ HVAC controls are interchangeable, I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to switch panels and install your touch screen. | |
