| if you search the WWW you will find a delay relay that you can use to delay the ballast activation. There are trade-offs so you will have to research carefully.

| Find your twighlight sentinel sensor on the dash. Cut both wires going to the sensor and splice them together, your car now thinks it's daytime. | |

Bingo. Hence the delay relay. If it was mine I'd re-wire the circuit to turn on some LED DRLs via a relay, and run the headlights through a different relay. I'd review the factory circuit diagrams and try to use the existing wiring and relays if possible.

What I posted will take care of your auto lights. If there is no fuse/relay for the DRLs then you will have to cut the ground wire on your drivers side high beam. Cap the wire coming from the LCM, and splice the wire from the high beam connector to the low beam ground wire. This will disable your DRLs, and what I previously posted will disable auto headlights.

| i dont have a wiring diagram, but most GMs from 97 and up share the same wiring when they have DRLs that use the high beams on reduced power. when you splice the high beam ground into the low beam ground it takes the LCM out of the equation, the LCM is what makes the DRLs come on. when you splice the wires together youre removing the LCMs control of the DRLs, but still allowing the high beams to ground through the low beams for when you need to use your actual high beams. my car has been wired this way for almost three years with no problems. | |

| all you need to do is figure out which wire is the ground for your high beams, should be a black wire with a white stripe but it could be different. splice into the ground for your low beams which should be a black wire. i believe ive shared this on this forum before, and im not sure if it still works but if it does you should be able to find a wiring diagram here:
go to www.ondemand5.com

thats the account for my auto class in high school, if it doesnt work you can still use a DMM to find your grounds but if it works it might help.

| well both ballast went out again .... friend let me use his denso ballast out of a wrecked lexus and they work perfect still seeing a tiny bit of flicker at car starting .... thinking of just tossing a small cap (.5 Farad) in line before the ballast or trying to toss on a larger power wire on the back of the alt i have over 100" of 4 ga wire and 20 ' of 8 Ga..... | |
